call back

karen from cbox called today. she still cant get my name right. she asked if i have taken my injection. yes i did. she said she would get back to me after she confirm it. so i waited. when she called back, she asked for me, using the wrong name. i tried to correct her, but she thought i was telling her she got the wrong number. this is so dumb. when i slack at home, bro said i was damn lazy. when i try to find a job, i get all sort of crap.

my worst nightmare came true. cant believe i was so blur. argh. how could it have happened??? it's a worrrying matter. but dont bother asking, i wont bother saying. cuz it's just too utterly embarrassing. damn it.

another thing to curse about: i went to chatterbox only for the sole purpose of handing in my application form before heading home. a lazy person actually making a trip like this is a wonder. but no, it doesnt stop here. when i got there, Mr J wasnt on duty. so my theory about managers working 9-5 is wrong. and it's also at this point of time that i forgot what's the name of the assistant manager. so i asked if any of the managers were around. just so happened that they were all having their break! argh! not wanting to wait, (i should have waited), i passed it to the captain on duty. that's the end right? nope. mintae called at night and asked if i didnt wanna work anymore, cuz Ms H has already given her a day to start work and she handed the form later than me, while my name is not even on the list. that captain must have forgotten to give it to the manager. argh. wasted trip.

back to chatterbox

had about an hour plus of sleep but had to meet sandy, abby and mintae at 1.30pm. i made hl, ys and jn wait till 1.30pm before they could leave. hee. surprisingly, after a whole night of talking, we still had things to talk about.

anyway, ya, finally went back. i thought no one would remember us, except mr OT. don't know is it lucky or unlucky, OT was working when we came. talked a little, realised people from my school were applying for part time job there. abby and me were saying they sure to get the job cuz they were chio. we have this thing against OT but we dont hate him lahz.

then jun came over to chat and take order. mintae was supposed to be the only one eating. she ordered beef guo tiao and the kitchen whipped up a hugh plate for her. it was actually for us to share but we all didnt want to eat, so poor mintae was trying to eat all she could. then jun got us deserts too. she was so nice, she actually paid for us. this is why we cant go back too often. i will feel guilty. i asked her about those other waiters and waitresses and guess what? most of them quit already! featherhead is a waiter at a thai restaurant. mark is working at Sim Lim Square. Tom at some other hotel etc. there's very little people left. oh but good news, connie got promoted to captain and steven got promoted to senior waiter! jun was saying so many things change in one year, and that they looked older. she said abby looked more mature now, and that sandy and me looked tanner. haha.

oh yes, we decided to work part time there! we figured we got a high chance of getting hired since we got the experience. (even if no experience also they hire. anyone interested?) and it's only four hours a day, $6 an hour and you can choose the days you work. it's only during the peak hours, 11-3pm and 6.30-10.30pm. but must be willing to work on christmas eve and christmas day. was worried mum would object cuz the last time she wasnt too happy about me working. but she didnt even argue with me, she just said "behave yourself there." yeah! but i must go all the way there tomorrow to hand in the form. quite lazy.

i wouldnt be so broke afterall.

prom night

it's over, but it seemed like it didnt happen. all of us felt that the thing was over so soon. but we did have fun. ok, let me start from the top. this is gonna be a long entry. haha.

first, went to meet gil, jn, ys and hl at TB cuz they making their nails there. before that was supposed to buy gil's birthday present but couldnt find. anyway, the nail thingy took so long, i wonder how the four of them stayed waiting there for each other. i waited for hl's to be done i already wanna faint liaoz. then ate lunch at that noodles shop (nice fried wan ton!) and shopped a little before meeting lulu at the hotel. i cant spell the hotel so just know it's the one opposite newton mrt station.

we checked into the room and piggy gil and ys laid on the bed, refusing to move while hl and jn went to orchard to get some things done. lulu did my nails for me. free of charge. haha.

after lazing for some time, gil and ys decided to try on make-up. they took the make up out, sat on the floor and did nothing. (-_-"!) then they decided to change before doing their make-up. then jn and hl came back. for once hl was the first one to be prepared. haha. by the time we got ready, it was already 7pm. gil still said she wanted to reach the ballroom at 6.30pm. haha.

took photos before the dinner started. my camera was not working cuz it just refused to load the film. so many people tried but the camera refused to work. i think my camera only like very nice people cuz the moment MY helped, it worked. haha.

the dinner was good. was buffet style. my whole plate was full of food. since you paid for it, might as well eat it right? the mushroom soup is like the marche one! gift is this peace sign pendent BUT the waiters went to clear all the tables while we were dancing, including the pendents. damn. oh and the emcee is quite funny. he kept exclaiming, "why didnt i have such teachers in the past?". and my group won the games that night! =)

took more photos after the dinner before moving to the dance floor to dance. took off my heels cuz it was freaking painful to dance in heels. and i think i deserve a prize for wearing the longest skirt. (i kept stepping on my skirt) haha. the result of being unwilling to spend money and effort. think i got quite high yesterday. haha. we did waltz at one part of the dance. damn funny.

the prom night ended at 12midnight. we went back to take out wallets and phones before walking down towards orchard. i gave up and changed into pants and wore jn's slippers. haha. orchard is quite quiet in the wee mornings and got drunks lying around. there's this guy lying on the ground at the busstop and police were there. i wonder what happened. yq and ly were drinking alcohol too. walked till we were tired before heading back. i think walking is fun. anyway, i went back to the hotel with lulu while the others went newton circle to eat. we were so afraid this prevented indian guy would come out of his room.

and of cuz i took my own sweet time to bathe. cant miss the chance of taking a bubble bath can i? hee. when i came out, they were rushing to use the toilet. haha. after everyone bathed, we played card games. hl ended up being the idiot cuz the game was called idiot. haha. talked and gossiped through the night till about 7 plus before we decided to sleep. we were so noisy that i wonder if the person next door could have a peaceful sleep.

woke up at 9 plus to wash up. jn, gil, hl and lulu ate instant noodle. at 11 plus we checked out. hl went to the counter and asked to check out, but the person asked for the credit card. so hl called her mum and then passed the phone to the man behind the desk. i think he was quite shocked. i was amused cuz hl's expression really very funny.

shall continue in another entry tuesday's events. too long. haha.
